Harry “Edgar” Gadd

Born September 13, 1931 in Estevan, Sask. passed away on September 10, 2011 at the age of 79 at the Campbell River and District General Hospital. He leaves his wife of 17 years Diane Cayer, and his son Leon Gadd as well as a loving family of step-children and many other relatives who will greatly mourn his loss.

Edgar was a Campbell River fixture. He once owned the “Gadd-About Charters #1” and loved to fish and be on the water. He adored his dog “Skipper” and was a long-time member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, local #3097 where he could often be found playing crib (and skunking a good many of them!)

He looked forward to his morning coffee with buddies and will be remembered as a kind and caring man who loved people. He would give the shirt off of his back to anyone who needed it.

Edgar’s wishes are that donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Campbell River, PO Box 741, Campbell River, BC, V9W 6J3.

A Celebration of Edgar’s life will be held at 11am, Tuesday, September 20 at the Campbell River United Church at 415 Pinecrest Road. A reception will follow at the Eagles Hall at 1999 - 14th Street, Campbell River.
