1935-2015
Passed with peace and grace on July 19, with her family at her side. Gwen is dearly missed by sister Bonnie (Mike) Wells of Calgary, brother Trev (Rose) Lien of Edmonton, brother Marvin (Gloria) Lien of Edmonton, brother Allen Lien of unknown, friend and former husband Art (Kathy) Caswell; daughter Cherie (Lyle) Adams of Campbell River, son Ron Caswell of Campbell River, daughter Kathy (Don) Provencal of Fort McMurray; grandchildren Amber Provencal, Darah (Matthew) Blanford, Jennifer (Dustin) Friberg, Courtney (Joel) Jacobs, Sarah Caswell, Chad (Kathleen) Caswell; great-grandchildren Riley Hoesing, Kaydon Blandford, Ayla Caswell and all other extended family members and friends. She is predeceased by her partner Art Orvis (2013) and husband Edward Marsh (2000).
Gwen will be fondly remembered as a loving sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She spent much of her life dedicated to helping the community as an active member of the Campbell River Fraternal Order of Eagles and founding member of the Campbell River Old Time Fiddlers. Her many acts of kindness and her handmade boxes touched many lives. She leaves us rich in memories.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Walker and the staff at New Horizons for their care. A celebration of Gwen’s life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to her preferred charity, the Canadian Cancer Society, or the charity of your choice.
