In loving memory ~
It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Guy Harvey Wilfred Baechler on October 14, 2024.
Guy was born on November 10, 1938 in Powassan Ontario to Robert Clare and Mary Edna (Humphrey). The family moved to Timmins and then to Atikokan Ontario. Guy left at a young age to pursue a new venture in Vancouver B.C. at the Richmond mill. He married Marilyn Anne Dean in 1961 and they moved to Campbell River where he was employed at a small business until taking up employment with Crown Zellerbach Catalyst. He and Marilyn had a son Robbie.
In 1989 Guy married Barbara Jean Ellis. They enjoyed years of adventures until Barb's passing in 2000. Guy travelled extensively, enjoying his hobby of photography especially his greatest adventures to Africa.
Guy was predeceased by his parents, brother Rick, his son Robbie and his wife Barbara.
He is survived by his loving partner Wendy, brothers Robert (Arden), Vaughn (Linda) and Rick's wife Cynthia, Joe and a son Jeff and his family as well as his many loved nieces and nephews.
There will be no formal service by Guy's request but raise a glass to Guy and remember the good times.
