The family of Gunnar Skjeie are saddened to announce the passing of their father & Papa on Dec. 13, 2006 at the Campbell River Hospital with his daughters at his side.
He was predeceased by his loving wife Astrid of 56 years on May 5, 2006.
He leaves behind his two daughters Anne(Alan) Nunn and Karin Skjeie, five grandchildren: Adam (Chelsey), Arlo(Tia), Jason, Jeff, and Katie (Joey).

Gunnar was born on Aug. 2, 1923 in Norway and immigrated to Canada in 1951 with his wife and daughter arriving in 1952. He was a carpenter by trade and in 1957 he found Commercial Fishing. He got his Canadian Citizenship on the day his 2nd daughter was born. In his later years he enjoyed gardening, curling, bowling, and crib; but most of all his grandchildren. He’ll be sadly missed.
He’s home with Mom.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2006, at Sutton’s Campbell River Funeral Chapel, 502 South Dogwood St., Campbell River, BC., Pastor Albert Hopp officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Campbell River Hospital in Dad’s memory.
