It is with a heavy heart that we announce the unexpected and sudden passing of our brother Grant Newton Barlow. He suffered a massive stroke on February 14 and succumbed to the outcomes on February 18, 2021 in hospital at Campbell River, BC.
Grant lived a free-spiriting life on Sonora Island for the past 40 years. He enjoyed all that the outdoors could offer him in the way of guiding, fishing, boating, hunting amongst a welcoming community of friends, neighbours, his twin brother Greg and sister-in-law Rose.
He was also a certified medic and served many seasons in northeastern BC. Grant was predeceased by his parents Trevor and Shirley Barlow and leaves behind his brothers Mike, Greg (Rose), Sister Denise (Mike) and nieces Breanna and Cassandra.
A celebration of Grant's life will be planned closer to the summer of 2021. Donations may be made in Grant's name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.
