She is survived by her 3 children Coralee (Dennis) Woolley, Mississauga Ontario, Brian (Rosie) Chard and Bruce (Myrna) Chard of Campbell River, B.C., 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Gladys was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and throughout her live lived in Winnipeg, Manitoba and Edmonton, Alberta. She spent her last 16 years in Campbell River.
Gladys loved the outdoors, especially fishing, golfing, bowling and any activities involving family. She was an avid Edmonton Oilers hockey fan and Edmonton Eskimos football fan. Gladys as expected passed away wearing her Oiler’s jersey. She was an amazingly strong woman who touched the hearts of all who knew her. She will be sadly missed and never forgotten.
Special thanks to Lee Smith and all the wonderful staff of Sunshine Manor who took such loving care of Gladys over the last 2 years. Also to Dr. Robert Ramsay for the excellent care and comfort he provided for Gladys.
A private family service will be held in the near future to celebrate Glady’s life.
