In loving memory ~

Gerry passed peacefully in the early morning of May 23 at Evergreen Seniors Centre. She spent the previous day surrounded by family, friends, stories, laughter and phone calls from those that could not be with us.

Gerry was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her five children: Jim (Edith), Duane (Gwen), Jeff (Charlene), Mark (Nicole) and Jill (Simon), along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and their families.

Gerry was predeceased by her second husband, Rick, who she met over a complaint about a stolen truck battery, while she was working at the government wharf in Campbell River.

Gerry was born in Copenhagen and moved to Canada with her mother when she was 8 years old.

Gerry was a very strong and determined lady, who loved to spend time in her garden on Quadra Island. She would walk to the ferry to volunteer at the Seniors Home in Campbell River, showing her kindness to all.

The staff at Evergreen always treated Gerry with dignity and love, and the family would like to thank everyone for their compassion and commitment to her wellbeing.

There will be no service at Gerry's request, but the family will have a private celebration and remembrance at a later date, when everyone is able to attend.

See you later alligator. In a while crocodile.
