In Loving Memory ~
It is with great sorrow and much love that we mourn the peaceful passing of George Lauder on April 25, 2022 at home with family by his side.
George will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his loving wife Rebeca De Aro and her family, Benjoe, Paryse, Parysha, Piara, Josie, Robbiem, and Candie; (daughter) Cheryl Lord; (son) Gerald: (grandson) Michael and his family, Ariana, Ben, Kate, Neecian, and Raffaele; (sister) Sharon Warner and her husband Don; (sister) Alice Laird and her husband Dan; (niece) Jennifer and her husband Bobby: and his large extended family and friends.
George was born in Medicine Hat and spent his working life in Vancouver on the waterfront with Lafarge Canada. He later moved to Campbell River where he continued to enjoy proximity to the waterfront.
In his retirement he could be found enjoying time with friends and family at the casino. He always welcomed family and friends into his home. His smile, humor, and love of life endeared him to all and he will be forever missed.
Thank you to the many friends, family and caregivers who helped so much in the past few years, especially Sam and Priscilla, Geo, and Manong. Thank you to the Vancouver Island Health Palliative Team and Home Support.
A special thank you to Benjoe, Lyn and Raymond for their exceptional care in his final days.
A graveside service will be held at Elk Falls Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.
