September 14, 1947 – August 30, 2005

Gary Tibbetts passed away suddenly in Campbell River, B.C. on August 30, 2005. He was predeceased by his father Millard. Gary is survived and will be sadly missed by his loving wife Linda, his son Wade (Denise) of Dawson Creek, B.C., his daughters Diana (Greg Hart) of Dawson Creek, B.C. and Theresa (Pat Wiggins) of Westbank, B.C., his grandchildren; Dana-Rae, Tanner, Alyshia, Tyrell, Devon and Dallan, his mother June Dunseith of Dawson Creek, B.C., his brother David (Judy) of Fort St. John, B.C., his sister Cathy (Bill Gurney) of Prince George, B.C., serveral aunts and uncles as well as many nieces and nephews. Gary was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. He spent his years working as a welder — first in the oilfield, then for Finning Tractor and his last few years as a welder/mechanic for International Forest Products in Kingcome Inlet. In his leisure time he enjoyed fishing, camping and woodwork. Gary loved to hash things over with the boys at the coffee shop in the morning. He always liked an argument with the ladies, chewing the fat with whoever happened to be around. Gary loved camping at Bear Bay and out at Strathcona Dam and fishing with his buddies out at Eagles Cove. Donations in Gary’s memory made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC and Yukon, PO Box 741, Campbell River, B.C. V9W 6J3 would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to ISLAND FUNERAL SERVICES – elk falls crematorium, 103 — 909 ISLAND HWY., CAMPBELL RIVER. A gathering of Gary’s family and friends to celebrate Gary’s life will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion, The Pacific Branch No. 137, 301 — 11th Avenue, Campbell River on Saturday, September 3rd, 2005 at 1:00 P.M.
