Gail Ann McHale (Thompson) 73 of Campbell River, B.C. passed away April 23rd at North Island Hospital in Campbell River, due to complication from C.O.P.D. and pneumonia. Gail was born in Vancouver, B.C. on August 17, 1945 to Annie and William Thompson.
For many years Gail lived/worked in Courtenay and was married to Richard Morrison for 19yrs. They had two children Lori and Tracy (Dwight).
Remarried to Robert (Bob) McHale (Deceased) for 28 years with whom she had two stepchildren Bobbi and Jason. Previously Gail worked in the service industry as a waitress and for the past 15 years she lived and helped her husband Bob manage the Shelter Bay RV Resort. Gail was a loving sister, mother, stepmother and grandmother.
She is survived by stepmother Therese Thompson, her sisters; Leslie Tremblay, Debbie Holmes, Beth, and Diane, son-in-law Dwight Wiens, grandchildren; Jason, Kayla and Riely Wiens, Finnegan Morrison, and step-grandchildren Catherine, Brayden, Ethan, and Justin. Predeceased by father William, mother Annie, brother Denis Roy, and husband Robert
The family would like to thank all her friends at the Shelter Bay Resort that have helped her over the years. Special thanks to Judy for your support in this hard time. Gail will be forever in our hearts. There will be a Celebration of Life with family and friends date to be determined.
