Fritz Ernst Grav

Fritz left us peacefully at the Campbell River Hospital on Wednesday. Fritz and Inge (2005) were married for 55 years, immigrated to Toronto, Canada in 1956 with two children in tow from Kirchheim Unter Teck, Germany.
Fritz worked as a skilled sheet metal worker installing air conditioning and heating systems before semi-retiring with his beloved wife to joyfully operate Beechmount Studio B&B in Bancroft Ontario. Fritz loved animals, music, dancing, a cold ‘prost’ and most of all Inge’s delicious German cuisine.
Fritz shared his last widowed years between his daughter Esther, (Rick), their sons Drew and Kurt in Belleville, Ontario and Eberhard (Nancy) his daughters Emily (Sean), Julia (Tuna) and great grandson Oliver in Victoria. Fritz had fond memories of his travel to China and recently to Turkey and his home town of Kirchheim. Survived by sister-in-law, Maria Grav (Kirchheim, Germany), in-laws Gerhard & Ute Schempp (Port Perry), Irma & Bernt Mertens (Missassauga) & many nieces & nephews.
The family friends are gathering for a private memorial service but would like to send a special thanks to all the wonderful caregivers from VIHA Home Care, Yucalta Lodge and the Campbell River Hospital staff. Donations if desired may be made to the SPCA and The Alzheimer Society of Canada.
