Passed away peacefully at the Campbell River Hospital on October 5, 2003, after a brief illness. Frank was born of Alec (Buck) and Freda (Ma) Lewthwaite in Vancouver on February 27th, 1924. Frank spent many years as a logger around the Thurlow Islands and the last 25 years as a Campbell River resident.
He is survived by his sister Lillian Carrol, his long time friend Myrtle Sharcott as well as his children Charlotte, Sandra, Alec, Linda and Freda-Mae, ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A celebration of Frank’s life will be held at Campbell River branch of the Royal Canadian Legion on Wednesday October 15th, 2003, between 1pm and 3pm. If so inclined please send donations to the charity of your choice in memory of Frank and in lieu of flowers. The members of his family wish to acknowledge the kindness and caring of the staff at the Campbell River Hospital extended to Frank and themselves.
