Frank Alexander Dingwall

Dec. 29, 1921 - Sept. 6, 2009

With saddened hearts we announce the passing of a loving husband and father on September 6, 2009. Frank Dingwall passed away peacefully surrounded by his family.

He was predeceased by his parents James and Mary Anne Dingwall; six brothers and their spouses, Bill, George, James, Henry, Alfred and Norman; three sisters and their spouses, Jean, Christine and Dorothy; and nephew Gary Dingwall.

Frank will be dearly missed and forever loved by his wife Beverly of 56 years, children Steve (Patcharin), Gail (Art), Jerry (Mandy), grandchildren Tracita (Sasha), Tammy (Bob), Jennifer (Christopher), Ryan (Sara), great grandchildren Braydon, Rheanna, Madeleine and Samuel and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Frank Alexander was the ninth of ten children born on the family farm in Deloraine Manitoba. He was a veteran of the Second World War who fought in the Italian Campaign and the liberation of Holland.

Frank had a long career with BC Tel, retiring in 1984. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt. He was an accomplished fisherman who won many derbies over the years (his biggest Spring 66 lbs!). He and Bev and "the gang" enjoyed many memorable hunting trips into Alberta.

His friends and family remember his sparkling eyes, hearty laugh and generous heart. Frank took pleasure in a good hockey or baseball game, playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren and a challenging game of crib.

Special thanks to Dr. Sutherland and all the staff at Yuculta Lodge for the wonderful care they gave.
