A very brave soldier left us today
Surrounded by his family,
he gently slipped away.
The years were getting harder,
the body getting weak
We spent more time together
Just to hear him speak.
He had so many memories
All of them so clear
But none of them as special as the one he held so dear.
Marion was her name, she was his trusted wife,
Now he’s gone to be with her,
The true love of his life.
So, rest in peace dear Grampy,
As we remember you with love
We know that you’ll be
watching us,
Smiling.....
