On Monday morning, July 27th 2020, our beloved mother and wife, Frances Irene Wright, aged 81 of Hilton Road Cottage, Royston, BC, passed away peacefully at the Comox Valley Hospital surrounded by her daughter and husband.
Born November 4th, 1938 to Rene and Alfred Whalley in Manchester, England. Frances spent most of her young life in North Wales, moved to Canada in 1973 and immigrated to the Comox Valley in 1976 and never looked back.
Her professional career as a C.D.A. for Dr. John Hornby and Dr. Peter Watt of Campbell River ended when she finally retired in 2007 at age 68.
Frances was a valued member of the North Island Choral Society, the Comox Valley Elder College, the Comox Valley Nursing Centre and the Comox Valley Youth Music Centre. She was a voracious reader, horticulturalist, computer geek, accomplished seamstress and loved by many felines.
Frances is survived by her loving husband Bruce, daughter Katharine (Colin), brother John (Wendy), nephew David, niece Sarah and Nellypoo the Feline. She will be sadly missed by the many Allan and Boszormeny family members. Frances also leaves behind many close friends; Cheryl, Rose, Peg, Nancy, Joyce, Kate, Rene & Peter, Len & Penny, Dale, to name a few.
Special thanks to Dr. John Law and Dr. Dave Kenny for their care and kindness to Frances over the years.
Frances lived life to its fullest with no regrets.
