Passed away on January 14, 2006, in Campbell River, B.C., Canada. Preceded in death by her husband Ray (1982), brother, Frank Kelley (1969), sister Louise (Kelley) Svee (2001). Survived by her stepson, Frank (Jo) Williams and children: niece, Karin (Ron) Jones; nephew, Richard Svee; great nephews, Scott Svee, Christopher and Brandon Jones; close friends, Fred and Pat Vosper, as well as extended family members in Minnesota and Utah.

Born, December 29th, 1915 in Charles City, Iowa, she spent her youth in Minnesota. After moving to California, she married Ray Dickson in 1948 and lived in Lynwood, California. Flo worked for the Red Cross during WWII and managed a gas station run by all female attendants. She later worked for Mobil Oil Corporation and upon retiring in 1969, moved to Oceanside, California. Ray and Flo became Canadian Landed Immigrants in 1979, and following Ray’s death she moved permanently to Cortes Island.

Aunt Flo, as she was known to many, loved children, had a generous heart, always helping those in need. She had a quick wit and a great sense of humor. Her creative skills were shared by many. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at Sutton’s Funeral Home, Campbell River, B.C., Canada on February 11, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. Private burial services will be in Heber City, Utah. The family requests that donations be made in her memory to the Cortes Island Building Society - c/o “Seniors Property Development”, Manson’s Landing, B.C., Canada V0P 1K0.
