RAFNKJELSSON,

Florence Steinum

September 13, 1917 - June 20, 2007

Florence passed away peacefully June 20, 2007 at Enderby, BC

Florence was born in Otto, MB, the first born of a set of identical twins.Green eyes, strawberry blonde curls and dimples was how they were dressed. Cute as pudding. She grew up in Manitoba on a dirt farm on the shores of Lake Manitoba. Times were hard, but there was plenty of fun and laughter as they soon had six younger siblings to share with, not to mention the oldest, a brother.

She attended Ralph Connor School but chose to leave early and stay home and help with the chores. She became adept at knitting, sewing and crochet. Cooking and baking were also accomplishments she enjoyed. Any who knew her appreciated her ability at crafts.

She was quite shy and withdrawn, but possessed an impish sense of humour that never interfered with her ability to amuse the babies. That made her a godsend to her parents as she was exceptional with the younger children and never tired of caring for them. That talent spilled over to benefit her nieces and nephews, as well.

She lived in Winnipeg, Vancouver, Campbell River and Enderby.

Her last days were spent at Parkview Place in Enderby which were some of the happiest days of her life. She is survived by her sister, Thelma Goodman of Campbell River, BC, brother Eric Rafnkjelsson of Campbell River, sister Valdina Perkins of Mara, BC, and 21 nieces and nephews and uncountable great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Parkview for the patience, love and understanding shown their aunt and sister while she was resident there.

A Celebration of Life is being held at the Coast Discovery Inn at the Campbell River Plaza in Campbell River, BC, September 28, 2007 at 1:30 p.m.
