Aunty Flo was born on May 11, 1914 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and passed away peacefully at Yucalta Lodge in Campbell River, B.C. on December 25th, 2004. Aunty Flo grew up in Saskatoon, then worked in Winnipeg, Saskatoon and Toronto before moving to Vancouver in 1945 where she worked at Mitchell Press until retiring in 1974. She then moved to Heriot Bay and Campbell River in 1994. Aunty Flo loved walking, 5 pin bowling, gardening, her cats, traveling, OAP and her many friends and relatives. She was predeceased by her parents William and Alice, her sisters Peggy Campbell and Jim, Olive Gordon and Bruce, her brothers William, Norman, Doogie and Pauline, Harry and Marion, her niece Betty McEwen and Don. Aunty Flo is survived and will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews Pat Oliver and Gary, Isobel Afseth and Richard, Don Gordon and Sharon, Jane Hurd-Rutter and Mark, Bill Dowler and Linda, Margaret Prince and Robert, Susan Enns and Jerry, Norman Dowler and Adrienne, Penny Dowler and Michael, 27 great nieces and nephews, 16 great, great nieces and nephews and her many friends. Her family would like to thank, adult day care, home support services, Yucalta Lodge, and fellow residents of Ken Forde Housing for all their support over the past few years.
