In Loving Memory ~
It is with great sadness that his family and friends share the passing of this great man. Finn wasn't a shy guy, if you met him you remembered who he was. Always smiling and laughing, he was a good-humoured man that liked to have fun. He forged lifelong friendships as sturdy as the brick walls he built all over this town that he called home.
Finn was born in Roskilde, Denmark to Viktor & Ulla Hansen and sister Vivi Andreassen. A true Viking, he set out to discover new land and found himself in Edmonton, AB. A young adult with his trade in his pocket, he pursued life as a Canadian bricklayer. A few years there, he had started his collection of friends that turn into family and an undying devotion for the Edmonton Oilers, he moved to Campbell River, BC where he settled in.
Taking a drive with Finn through town was like taking a tour of his projects as though it was his personal portfolio, he'd tell you what bricks he'd placed and how many years ago it had been. He added so much to his hometown just as he did to the lives of those that knew him.
Finn met and fell in love with Deborah Eriksen. They married in 1993 and shared a wonderful life of love, good times and adventures for 31 years. Debbie fell ill earlier this year and passed in late May. It broke his heart.
He did not have kids of his own but welcomed and loved two sons John Titus and Jeffery Nagy from his first marriage and Debbie's three children Denica Fletcher, Steven Eriksen and Kathy Houser. Finn leaves behind five grandchildren that he was continually proud of Sara, Jennifer, Tanner, Hayley, Skyler, great grandson Kai and very loved nieces and nephews back home in Denmark
