August 6, 1934 – October 5, 2014

It's with deep and great sadness that the family of Fay Laderoute announces her passing on October 5, 2014. Fay died peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her loving husband of 58 years Tony, daughters Violet, Bernadette and Valerie, grandson Sherman, sister Lois, brother Earl and sister-in-law Katherine.

Fay was born in Grand Forks, BC and moved to Campbell River in March 1953 where she met and married her long time love Tony. Fay spent her adult life being a full time wife and best friend to Tony, a full time mother to her children and a friend to all. She enjoyed hunting trips and camping. She was a wonderful cook and a great bread maker. Fay's hobbies included gardening, sewing, knitting and canning.

Fay is survived by her husband Tony (Anatole) Laderoute and three daughters Violet Berg (Richard), Bernadette Fleming, Valerie Merritt (Larry), step-daughter Sue Murdock (Tom), sister Lois, brothers Jack and Earl, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her two sons, Warren Laderoute (3/15/54 - 1/12) and Gerald Laderoute (3/4/62-7/81), mother Lelah (passed1/2001) and father Earnest Cooper (passed 1/67).


Graveyard service will be held for Fay on October 24th at 10:30am at the Campbell River graveyard. Refreshments to follow at 1441 Ironwood Street (Lion’s Den) in Campbell River immediately afterwards.
