Feb 18, 1955 - Apr 8, 2018
It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of Max.

He was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia and settled in British Columbia in 1974. He met his wife Darlene on Galiano; they later moved to Read Island where they built a home and started to raise their family. They then relocated to Campbell River in 1986.

Max worked as a faller for 25 years. He was known for his beautiful stained glass art and unique handcrafted Christmas ornaments. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and driving his '71 Chevelle.

Max had a big heart and a generous spirit and always went out of his way to help people. Many remember him for his wicked sense of humour which he liberally shared with everyone he met.

Max was predeceased by his parents John (Red) and Hazel Maxwell and younger sister Kim Joanne Maxwell. He is survived by wife Darlene of 44 years, son Sequoia (Aiko), daughter Jasmine, son Jordan (Elaine), grandchildren, Nora, Sawyer, Finley and Theo, his siblings Janet, Jack, Terry, Tim and Scott and his large extended family and friends.

There will be a Celebration of Life on April 21, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Eagles Hall, 1999 14 Ave, Campbell River.

In lieu of flowers please consider signing up to be an organ donor or do something kind for someone else.
