Evelyn MURRAY

March 23, 1926 – April 23, 2017

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our loving wife, mother and grandmother, Evelyn Murray, on April 23, 2017 at the Evergreen Seniors Home in Campbell River.

Evelyn was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on March 23, 1926. She moved with her family to Kenora, Ontario at an early age. That is where she met her husband of 71 years, William (Bill) Murray. They went on to have 5 children: David (Shirley), Allen (Joanne), Carol (Joe), Robert (Connie) and Raymond. They have 16 grandchildren,17 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Bill and Evelyn moved to Nanaimo, BC in 1967 and lived there for 27 years before settling in Campbell River.

Evelyn was devoted to her family and loved them all immensely, enjoying any time she could spend with them. She was an avid reader, she enjoyed doing crafts, jigsaw puzzles and was the best scrabble player ever.

The family would also like to thank all the staff at Evergreen Seniors home for the wonderful care they gave to Evelyn during her stay there.
