Eugene Patrick
1936-2007
We sadly announce the passing of Eugene on Apr. 28/07 in Surrey after a short battle with lung cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family at the time of death, his loving wife of 45 years – Jean, son Jerry (Michelle), daughter Diane (Chris) and son Gordon (Claire). He will be missed by all whose lives he touched. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor.Â
He was a proud husband, father and Grandpa. His 6 grandchildren will miss him as he took the time with them and showed interest in their endeavors: Bradley and Courtney Argent, Kyle and Kurtis D’Aoust and Georgia and Maxwell D’Aoust.
Eugene was predeceased by his parents Jean and Victor, brother Leo and sister Cecile. He is survived by brothers Andy, Bernard, Louie, sisters Sylvia, Lorraine and Marion, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Eugene will be missed so much by his mother-in-law, Eleanor Cliffe who he loved. He would keep the lawn, flower garden and vegetable garden immaculate. He would often be found outdoors working, walking or cycling all of which he loved – “The Great Outdoors”.Â
Prayers and viewing May 2 at 7 pm. Followed by Mass on May 3rd at 11:00 at St. Patrick’s Parish – 34 South Alder Street Campbell River. Reception to follow at the Thunderbird Hall. Â In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.
