Eric passed away peacefully at the age of 91 on July 22, 2014 at Yucalta Lodge Campbell River BC. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife Kathleen, brother Malcolm Tasker (Rhoda); children Gordon Tasker, Joan Overin (Phil), Gail Gillis (Wayne),Terry Falk (Barrie); grandchildren, Jill Newport (Mike), Corrinne Falk (Murray), Wesley Falk (Toni), Laura Gillis (Jeremy), Steve Gillis (Mimi), Sean Overin (Val), James Overin (Cassy), Sarah McFadden (Alex); great-grandchildren Brianna, Elayna, Raine, Katarina and his many nieces and nephews.
Eric was predeceased by his father Eric, mother Kathleen, brothers Jimmy, Stanley, and Dennis and sisters Dorothy and Gwen.
Eric served his country in the R.C.A.F. during World War 2 from 1941 – 1945, attaining the rank of Warrant Officer 2nd Class. Eric and his 4 brothers and 2 sisters were all raised in Kelowna, BC. Eric also raised his family in Kelowna until moving to Campbell River in 1968. He worked as a purchasing agent for Crown Zellerback Elk Falls Pulp & Paper Mill until his retirement in 1982, when he and Kathleen moved to Penticton, BC. Eric & Kathleen loved playing cards with family and friends, camping, fishing, canoeing, hunting and travelling. They loved spending time with their family and friends and we all have fond memories of the fun times we spent together. In 2008 Eric & Kathleen moved back to Campbell River to be closer to family for health reasons.

A Celebration of Life for Eric was held at the Campbell River Baptist Church on July 28th 2014. Eric is now with GOD, our Heavenly Father, whom he had loved all his life
