Isobel, as she was known to everyone, passed away suddenly but peacefully in Campbell River hospital on Thursday, November 26, 2015. She is survived by her loving family; brother Laurence (Marion), sisters Agnes and Louise, daughter Donna, sons Aaron and Dwayne (Sherry), granddaughter Laura and grandsons Joshua and Derek.
Isobel grew up in a Saskatchewan farming community and was married and had her family in southern Saskatchewan. In 1963, the family moved to Campbell River. She loved living in Campbell River and raised her children there. Isobel spent many years working at the Leishman Child Care Centre, surrounded by a constant procession of young children. Upon retirement, she was active with the local quilters association. In the past year, she moved to the new Berwick by the Sea community, which she loved. While there she met many new friends, always taking the opportunity to go on tours and generally socializing. Isobel touched so many people during her life. She was a kind, gentle person and will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Isobel survived her husband Peter Lovas and has now joined him for eternity.
