Elizabeth Lucille“Liz”
Passed away peacefully at Campbell River and Disctrict Hospital on Thursday, January 13, 2005 with her sister Mary by her side.
Liz is survived by her loving family, daughter Maureen; sons Christopher (Xenia), Mark (Holly) and daughter Sarah; grandsons Sean and Matteo; sister Mary Lazarski; nephew Paul and great nephew Hunter.
She was predeceased by her parents Lucille and James Scanlin; sister Evelyn and brothers William and Jack.
Liz was a registered nurse from 1956 - 2002 graduating from Hotel Dieu Hospital in Kingston, Ontario, practising most recently at Mt. St. Mary’s and Juan de Fuca Hospitals in Victoria. A special thank-you to Campbell River Paramedics with B.C. Ambulance, Campbell River Home Care, Campbell River Hospital staff, Campbell River Hospice Society, Dr. Crofton and the Cancer Clinic in Victoria.
A Mass of Christian Burial took place at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, Campbell River on Tuesday, January 18th, 2005 at 11:00a.m. Father William MacDonald O.M.I. celebrant. Island Funeral Services and Elk Falls Crematorium, 103-909 Island Highway, Campbell River entrusted with arrangements.
