October 17, 1941 - February 17, 2017
Born October 17, 1941 in St. Catharines, ON to Doran and Norah Hallett, Liz passed away peacefully at Campbell River Hospital with her daughter by her side on February 17, 2017. She was predeceased by her parents and brother-in-law, Wilson Hughes.
In 1969, she married David Stewart and they lived in St. Catharines, Manitouwadge and Marathon, Ontario until moving to Campbell River in 2004. Here she met many people and brightened their lives with her smile.
Liz will be dearly missed by her husband, David of 47 years, her children David Jr., Timothy (Cindy), Christopher (Crystal) and Barbara Baldwin (Robert) and her grandchildren Joshua, Hannah, Noah, Sarah and Jonah.
As well as her brothers William (Janet), Timothy (Penny) and Doran (Judy) and sisters Patricia Hughes and Norah Lentowicz (Edward), her brother-in-law, Ross Stewart (Mary) and many nieces and nephews.
Thank you to Dr. Ian Marsh for your care for Mom though the years and to Dr. Nolan Jansen for your care while she was in hospital. Also to the nurses on 2S and 3S at Campbell River Hospital. There will be a funeral mass held on Friday, February 24 at 11:00am at St. Patrick’s Parish, Campbell River. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
