Passed away peacefully at Evergreen Seniors Home at the age of 88. Elgin was born in Scarborough Ont. and enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force on May 10, 1943 till April 10, l946. He served in Holland, France & Germany. He moved with his family to Burnaby, B.C. in 1955 and has resided in C.R. for eight years. Elgin was a big fan of the Vancouver Canucks and followed their games faithfully, also an avid crib player. He is predeceased by his parents and three brothers. He is lovingly remembered by his daughter Cecelia Sweet (Jim) C, R, granddaughters Denise Wilson (Justin) C.R. Sheri Edson (Jack) Laconner, Wa. and grandson Greg Sweet C.R. five great- grandsons Eddie & Scott Mostad, Skyler Wilson, John Edson and Kenny Sweet. Also his sister Joyce Conner (Al) Comox and niece Shelly Hornby (Lorne) Nanaimo. A celebration of life will be held at the United Church, 415 Pinecrest, Campbell River Saturday December 23rd at 1:00p.m.
