June was born in Tisdale, Saskatchewan and grew up in Victoria before moving to Campbell River in 1970.
June passed away suddenly on February 16th. Left to mourn are her husband Douglas, whom she met at 18 years of age and was married to for 49.5 years, her daughters Jennifer (John), Kimberley and Megan (David), as well as grandchildren Francesca, Haylee, Kherington, Natalie and Grayson, son-in-law Greg, Sister Jean and nephews.
June owned Rainbow Fun Daycare Centre which opened in 1989- for 22 years and was the first female president of the Campbell River Noon Hour Rotary Club from 2000-2001. She was also a member of the BPWN in the year 2002 and hosted 15 Rotary exchange students in her home over the years.
June was also a long term volunteer of the Royal Canadian Legion and was involved in the Remembrance Day ceremonies as well as other Legion activities.

Out of respect for June’s family there will be no public service.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation made in June’s honour to the Rotary student bursary fund.
