It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Elaine Bouchard. Surrounded by her family, Elaine passed away peacefully, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Elaine is predeceased by her youngest son Leonard (Lenny) Bouchard. Elaine is survived by her loving and devoted husband Maurice (Moe). Daughters, Colette Bouchard (Scott), Rochelle Bohn (Brian) and son Gilles Bouchard (Michelle). Her beloved grandchildren Justin, Payton, Brittney, Jessica, Austin, Zachery, Samantha and Braydon. Elaine entered the world in Georgetown, PEI. The youngest of eight siblings and a twin to Ginny. Her and Maurice were married in Georgetown, on February 16, 1963.

The following 20 years were filled with many moves and many new homes and schools. Their travels led them to live in PEI, Ontario, and Arizona. The Bouchard gang finally settled in Campbell River in 1980.

Elaine thoroughly enjoyed her role as a grandmother and her motherly nature always extended far beyond immediate family. There was always room at the table and a warm place to sleep, for anyone who needed it.

Elaine, "Nanny", "Mom", will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

We would like to extend a special thank-you to the nurses and staff on three south at the Campbell River Hospital. Thank you to Dr. Shuel and Dr. James. As well as the caring nurses from the home support. And her friend Pam who cared so very much.
