Eileen passed away at home March 4, 2018 at age 94. She is predeceased by husband Stanley Toombs and son Roderick Toombs.
She leaves behind her daughters Marilynn Robertson and Cheryl Grant. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
She and her late husband came to Campbell River 30 years ago to retire. She enjoyed volunteer work at Yucalta Lodge and assisting with functions at the United Church. An independent lady that each year including this past Christmas, took a plane to see her beloved sister Barbara Wilson and family in Saskatoon.
Special thanks to Mom's sister-in-law Peggy Anderson and family for their support in her last few years that allowed her to remain independent in her home.
I also want to mention neighbours Maureen and Sheri and Dick for their kind care.
