Edwin Wilson Treadwell

October 1943-May 2013


Edwin Treadwell passed away on May 24th in Campbell River BC. He will be remembered by his wife Rose of 44 years, son Greg (Lorna) of Ottawa ON, grandson Avery, sister Wendy (Bill) Warren of Georgetown ON, brother Chris of Fredericton NB. and numerous extended family, nieces and nephews.

Ed was involved in the mining industry for many years, notably working for Whitehorse Copper where he enjoyed playing hockey and slo-pitch ball and coaching minor league sports teams. He also worked for Westmin Mines as a mill shift foreman, retiring in 1999.

While living in Campbell River he enjoyed golfing with the Senior Men’s club at Sequoia and was involved for many years as director and volunteer with Shoreline Arts Carving Competition.

There will be no service as he requested, but a family gathering of remembrance at a later date. Flowers gratefully declined. For those wishing, donations may be made in Ed’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
