Greatly missed by his children Mike (Mercedes) and Catherine; grandchildren Kai and Mikylee; and great grandchildren Odin and Axel.

We remember Ted in his garden, or on his grader, dancing at the community hall, fishing, at cub camps, teasing and joking, and later, missing Ellen. We remember him always at home; always puttering outside, happy to have us join him. He was extremely hardworking and very social, getting along with people from all walks of life throughout the north Island.

Ted knew the land like the back of his hand, every creek, every hill, and every turn in the scenic "shortcuts" along dirt roads. We remember the bush-whacking, the tracking, and the long free summers camping in the bush.

He was our hero: strong, caring, humble, and unflinchingly trustworthy.
