Edward, C.P. Henderson

Charlie passed away December 14th, 2002 at Victoria General Hospital at the age of 35. Born July 10th, 1967 in Campbell River. Edward was a commercial fisher for many years beginning with his dad on the “Cape Chacon” and continued to work on various commercial vessels.

In 1985 he was part of the working crew for the first part of the Rotary “Seawalk”. He also did construction work on docks, housing and infrastructure.

Charlie was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed all saltwater and freshwater fishing and participated in numerous trout derby’s. He also enjoyed hunting for game throughout BC.

In his earlier years he enjoyed bowling and he always came through for his team. He also enjoyed playing cribbage with family and friends and with the Eagles Men’s team. He was a true fan of the Montreal Canadians, Green Bay Packers and WWF.

His family and all those that were privileged to know him, will sadly miss him and he will be remembered for his great sense of humor, generosity, kindness and his caring disposition. He always had a nickname for someone, be it family or friends and was a kid at heart.

Charlie was predeceased by his dad, Ken. He will be dearly missed by his mom, Maude, brother Jim (Nancy), sisters, Louise (Ron), Ann (Karl), Lil (Frank) and Heather. His nieces and nephews, Terry (Bob), James, Jim Jr. (Sandi), Mary, Tracy, Danny and Cody will also miss him. Also by his great nieces and nephews, Anthony, Kaylee, Robert, Johnny and Miranda.

Charlie’s memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 19th, at 1:00pm. at the Thunderbird Hall.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or Campbell River Hospital.
