Born September 10, 1921, in Melville, Saskatchewan. Passed away October 2, 2005, in Campbell River Hospital with family by his side.

Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Sarah (nee Johnston), brother Lloyd Bourque, sister Erma Stonehouse, daughter Faye, grandson Russel Childs. Leaves to mourn his passing his wife of 55 years Irene (nee Vail), daughter Marilyn Bourque, sons Gilbert (Jackie) Bourque, Darrell Bourque, grandchildren Terri and Carla-Beth Childs, Tracey Bourque, Rachel Bourque (Dave), Adam Bourque (Aleisha), Michelle Bourque, great grandchildren Isabella and Blake, one sister Merle Greene, and extended family.

Ed was a World War II Veteran having served overseas in Italy, Belguim, Holland, France and England. After retiring from his work with School District 72 he took up interest in genealogy. All his reference books will be donated to the Genealogy Club. At Dad’s request there will be no service, private family internment of his ashes.

Donations in Dad’s memory can be made to BC Childrens Hospital.
