Edmund Kaupe

July 7, 1986 – August 10, 2012

Edmund passed away in Comox, BC after a courageous battle against cancer. Throughout his illness he remained a vibrant, positive and loving young man who embraced life and those he loved. Edmund is predeceased by his mother, Linda and his Oma and Opa Maier, Elsa and Edmund. He is survived and will be dearly missed by many, including his wife(name withheld by request), his sister, Christel (Lloyd); his nephew and niece, Levi and Avery; his father, Helmut as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Edmund was born in Comox and resided in Black Creek for the majority of his life. Growing up on the family homestead served as a daily adventure and well suited Edmund's desire to explore and keep busy. Edmund had an abundance of talent and boundless energy that he put to use in everything he did. His interests were numerous and none was more noteworthy than his love and aptitude for music. It was a special gift which he shared with many. He was open, caring, and compassionate by nature and in his 26 years he built a vast number of relationships, all of which had meaning in his life. The joy and love that Edmund shared with others have been a blessing and he will be forever loved and remembered in the hearts of those who knew him.

A public memorial service for Edmund will be held on Saturday, August 25 at 2 pm at Bethany Lutheran Church (201 Birch St) in Campbell River. A time of fellowship and refreshments will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
