Edith May Mailman, born on November 27th, 1920 in Silver Ridge, Manitoba, passed away peacefully on March 20th, 2009 in Campbell River, BC. May was predeceased by her son, Edward Mailman; daughter, Shirley Lindgren and grandson, Allan Mailman. May is survived by her loving family: husband, Edward P. Mailman; sons, Garry (Maxine) Mailman and Kris (Cheryl) Mailman; grandsons, Tony Lindgren, Dale (Amy) Mailman and Kristjan Mailman; granddaughters, Traci (Ken) Addison, Amanda (Dustin) Raleigh and Jocelyn Mailman; great-grandchildren, Blake, Caleb, McKenna, Elyse, Brianna and Chase; brothers, John (Bernice) Robb and William Robb; and son-in-law, Dale Lindgren.

May and Edward Mailman were Willow Point pioneers, something that she was very proud of. They arrived in Campbell River in 1946 and for 20 years, prospered as local farmers. May also worked in the family construction business and enjoyed her time working as a homecare nurse.

A Memorial Service to Honour the Life of May Mailman, will be held at Sutton’s Funeral Home on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 1:00pm. A Reception will follow the Service. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations In Memory of May Mailman, may be made to the Campbell River Hospital Foundation, 381 - 2nd Avenue, Campbell River, BC, V9W 7L1, or to a charity of your choice.
