In loving memory ~

Ed, a long-time resident of Campbell River, died peacefully in the Campbell River Hospital on Thursday, July 4, 2024 at the age of 95 in the comfort of his loving wife Erna & daughter Heidi. Ed was born July 4, 1929 in Graz, Austria and immigrated to Canada in 1953 with his 1st wife Elli (predeceased 2014), they moved to Edmonton, AB and had 3 children Heidi, Eddie and Ricky, he had big dreams and some great adventures and life changes, loved fishing, fixing things, firewood, traveling, dogs and new vehicles. Left Alberta in early 70's heading to Victoria and so the island life began starting in Victoria, then Thasis in the pulp mill, then Gold River the pulp mill , then retiring in Campbell River, his current wife of 45 years Erna by his side, daughter Heidi Kadach (Gary Kadach) Grandchildren; Garry jr (Charla) Mikey (Diana) Great grandchildren; Synthia, Anthony, Denyella and Aysha as well as many good friends.

Ed requested that a Celebration of life is his choice and we have arranged for a gathering to share stories, memories and refreshments on July 26 , 11:00 am at the Elk Falls reception area, we would like to invite all those who remember him.

We would like to add, a big thank you to CR staff all around but especially those on floor 3a you all helped everywhere and were the best huggers when needed, god bless you all for that from Erna and I (Heidi).

For those wishing to honour Ed's memory with a donation he would love it to go to the SPCA BC.
