September 15, 1922 – August 18, 2014


Earl Palmer, resident of Campbell River since 1931, passed away peacefully on August 18th at the age of 90. He was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Joy Palmer; parents Paul and Lydia Palmer; brother Roy Palmer; sisters Edna Milner and Ruth Pidcock; and children Lowell Palmer and Lynn Morris. He is survived by his brother Stan Palmer; daughter-in-law Caroline Palmer; son-in-law Leonard Morris; grandchildren Curtis Palmer (Ana) and Sapana Palmer; and great-granddaughter Clara Palmer; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Earl loved the woods and worked as a faller for most of his adult life.

Special thanks to longtime logging partner Gordon Clark and his wife Grace, and to the Comox Valley Seniors Centre for the special care that they provided for Earl.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the Campbell River Baptist Church, 260 South Dogwood Street, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2014. A Graveside Service will be held at 11am on Monday, August 25th at 11 am in Elk Falls Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of BC, Suite 300-828 8th Ave W, Vancouver, BC V5Z 1E2.
