Dr. Nick Judyski

Nick passed away peacefully in pallative care at Yucalta Lodge in Campbell River. Born in Vancouver General hospital. Graduated from Burnaby High in 1950. Attended UBC, became a chemical engineer, working in Nanaimo in a chemical lab for 4 years.
Took his teachers training and was offered a job at Burnaby High teaching Math & Science. At the same time his application came through from the Dental School in Seattle. Off he went to the University of Washington. First practising in Port Alberni, then while visiting friends in Campbell River, he fell in love with the boating waters of Campbell River.
Starting practising in Campbell River in 1966 and never looked back. Lived in the same house on the water for 51 years. Nick loved boating and he and Barb spent many years on the Chiquita III. He was Captain, and she was the deck hand. Nick was a lifetime member of the Campbell River Power Squadron. A car club treasure for many years, and enjoyed working on his old cars.
A long time member of the Kinsmen, then K40 until he passed away, he enjoyed their get togethers so much. Thanks to you all.
Left behind is his wife Barb, daughter Janet, and granddaughter Chelsey (Snooks), brother Walter, cousin Anita and Nancy, sister-in-law Daphne, and special neice Carolyn.
Good friends were special to Nick, and he will be missed.
