Douglas Stewart
On Sunday November 2nd, 2003, Doug passed away suddenly at the age of eighty-one years.
Survived by his special friend and companion of three years, Madge, and his loving family Bill (Dian), Jean, Raymond (Pam), Wayne (Jennifer) and Susan (Gordon); grandchildren Kiri, Robert, Lana, Christopher, Charmian, Wesley, Julian andArlen; great granddaughter Taylor. Also survived by his brother James (Ruth) and sister Daphne (Ken). Predeceased by his wife Margaret, brothers William, Gordon and David, and sisters Gwendolyn and Beverly.
Doug was born in Duncan, British Columbia, December 29th, 1921, and grew up in the Cowichan Valley. He worked in the forest industry until his retirement twenty-five years ago. He enjoyed excellent health all his life.
A celebration of Doug’s life will be held on Sat. Nov. 29th at 2:00pm. at St. Andrews Anglican Church, 2475 Koksilah Rd. Duncan, BC. Flowers gratefully declined.
