Our father, Dr. Douglas A. J. Millar, died October 7th at Campbell River Hospital two months shy of his 90th birthday. He died quite suddenly on Monday morning, October 7th, 2013, without apparent pain or suffering. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Marion Millar, and his children; Richard Robert Clive (Sita), David Bruce (Louise), Lawrence Arthur (Norma), Beverly Dawn and Jon Scott (Colleen), and grandchildren; Jennifer Anne (Vince Gagner), Laura Jean, Clint Arthur Jon, Aaron David, Christine Marie, Cody Brighton, Courtney Lillian, step-grandchildren; Sarah Frances, Amy Jessica and Jennifer Megan and great grandchildren; Avril, Sienna and Ellita and step-great grandchild Arie Colleen. Predeceased by daughter Frances Anne.
He was a much loved father and husband and will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched.
As per his wishes there is no formal ceremony. Dad had requested no flowers etc. but you may wish to donate to one of the bursaries for Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace, at Carleton University, in lieu.
