Dorothy went to be with her Lord after a long and painful battle with cancer on Sunday, May 7th. She will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by her husband Herb; sons: Les (Linda), Brent (Cathy), Cliff (Esther); five grandchildren: Jana, Jacqueline, Kelsey, Tyrone, and Emma; and nine step-grandchildren. Also by her sisters: Gertrude Frelone and Doris Hill; brothers: George and Franklin Moody; sister-in-law Doris Moody; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, brother Raymond, her baby daughter Tammy and son Rod. Dorothy was born May 30, 1928 in Comox, BC; second daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Les Moody. She was a very loving and giving person, loved by all who knew her. She touched so many lives by her caring way. Dorothy was a lover of music, and was pianist and organist at the Courtenay Foursquare Church in previous years. She and her sister Gertrude sang together at the church for years. Dorothy passed away at home in Campbell River where they have lived for the past 18 years. A Celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held on Monday the 15th at 3:00 pm. At the Living Waters Fellowship in Black Creek, north Island Highway. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of your choice would be appreciated.
