It is with great sadness that one of my best friends whom I loved dearly has passed. Doren is at peace now in the arms of our Lord Savior. Doren was a kind, smart, caring man. He loved to cook, barbecue, ride his motor bike, take trips and enjoyed camping and the outdoors. He was a loyal employee for Edmonton Transit in his earlier years and then moved to Vancouver Island and worked for Vankam CR. After many years there, he was ready for a new adventure and headed for the oil patch in Grand Prairie. There he worked for Canyon Tech Serv and later for Fair Energy.
A heartfelt thank you to Rob and Roberta Blue and the RCMP detachment in Grand Prairie for their support and helpfulness at this tragic time. Rob and Roberta, we have been very comforted by your compassion on our journey to closure.
Doren, you taught me how to laugh at myself.
