Don passed away peacefully in the presence of his family at Sunshine Lodge. He was born in Victoria, BC. Don was predeceased by his wife Leila B. Duncan on July 14, 2002. He is survived by his sons Jim (Lynne), Don (Judi) and daughter Leila, as well as many grand grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Don was a commercial fisherman and a carpenter in his early years of employment. during the last twenty years of employment he worked as a maintenance carpenter at Woodlands School on the lower mainland.

Don will be remembered as a very loving and devoted husband, dad and grandpa. He was an avid soccer player in his youth and also loved listening to the Vancouver Canucks play hockey on his radio as he fell asleep.

The family sincerely thanks Dr. Wood, Dr. Smit and all the dedicated staff at Sunshine Lodge who gave him tender care and made his last few years comfortable.
