Beloved husband, father and grandfather, Don passed away after a brief illness at Campbell River, BC., on June 30, 2003 at the age of 72. Born in Edmonton, Alberta January 29, 1931 Don lived most of his life in Alberta and British Columbia and served a 3 year station in Germany with the Queens Own Rifles. His career as a chef allowed him to share his fantastic culinary skills to all who knew and loved him.

In 1987 Don moved to Oliver, BC where he met his beloved wife Heather. Later, in 1998 his passion for fishing allowed him to retire in Campbell River.

Don had many interests in life. Fishing, camping in his motor home and telling fish stories were top on the list. The many family reunions that Don organized created a bond that will be remembered for generations to come. His love for roses kept him gardening up to the end of his life.

Pre-deceased by his parents Mary Magdalena Miller (Sauer); John Carl Miller and two brothers Gerald and Robert.

Don leaves to mourn his loving family, his wife Heather, sons Brian and Kelly(Debbie) of Victoria; daughters Wendy(Glenn) of Red Deer and Christine of Campbell River; three granddaughters Tiffany, Amanda and Dureeka. His sisters Susanna(Sue) Ellefson of Campbell River; Gloria Wood of Calgary; Linda Carson of Campbell River; brothers Gordon(Norma) of Ontario; James(Jeanne) of Stoney Plain. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.

Memorial Service to be held Saturday July 5, 2003, 10:00a.m. Campbell River Baptist Church, 260 S. Dogwood St., Campbell River. Reception to follow.
