February 8, 1931 - February 10, 2019
Della Roy Folstrom was the first born of Theodore and Jeannette Doucet Roy. Della was born on February 08, 1931 in Falher, Alberta, a little French community in the Peace River region. While living at the convent during the week she attended school and would go back home only on Friday. It was hard for her the first year being alone without any of her siblings, but at six years old she learned fast to look after herself.

After finishing school, she worked at the McLennan Hospital for a while and then moved to Edmonton to do the same type of work at the Misericordia Hospital. In the mid 50's she moved to Vancouver where she met and married Leo Nelson. She had three children from this marriage: Kenneth, Michael and Donna Nelson. Years later she married George Folstrom, they moved often due to George being a miner, from this union she had two children Cheryl and Allen.

Della lived in Campbell River for over forty years and this is where they chose to retire. Della was a kind, patient and generous person. She loved her family and always wanted the best for them.

Della leaves to mourn her five children: Kenneth, Michael, Donna, Cheryl and Allen. Four grandchildren Christina and James, Belinda, John and three great children... Her sisters Pauline Dubois, Lucille Bussiere and one brother Romeo Roy. Many nephews and nieces.

There will be a prayer service at Sutton's Campbell River Funeral Home on Thursday, February 21 at 7 pm. A service will take place at St Patrick's Roman Catholic Church onFriday, February 22 at 11 am.
