Deirdre passed away peacefully at home, following an all too short battle with cancer.
Pre-deceased by her Father, Frank Derry, Deirdre is survived by her Loving Husband Norman, her Son Ron, her Mother Irene, Step-Father George, Brothers Rick, Ron and Guy.
Deirdre loved to sew and recently had taken up, with great passion, the writing of a book. Deirdre also liked to Golf, and enjoyed it even more when she beat Norman.
Very special thanks go out to all the Nurses on 2 South of the Campbell River & District Hospital, Gerri and Beth of the Cancer Care Program and Doctors Prinsloo, Procter and Shuel for their kindness and caring during Deirdre’s difficult struggle.
There will be no formal Service however a Family Gathering will take place at a later date. Deirdre’s ashes will be taken to Prince Rupert to be placed with her Father. In lieu of flowers if friends so desire Donations in Memory of Deirdre may be made to the BC Cancer Foundation, 2410 Lee Avenue, Victoria, BC V8R 6V5.
