Dave passed away peacefully at home in Campbell River after a short illness. He is survived by his wife Marsha of 35 years, daughter Alison Pakulak (Steve) of Port Coquitlam and two granddaughters Madelyn and Olivia, son Steven of Campbell River, his parents Gordon and Margaret of Richmond, brother Al (Gloria) of Delta, sister Arlene Esau (Dave) of Calgary and their families.
Dave spent over 35 years working in the pulp and paper industry, the last four years as Vice-President of Operations for Catalyst Paper, Port Alberni Division.
Dave will be remembered by his family as a hard working, loving and generous person. After his love of family he loved to play golf.
There will be a service to honour Dave’s life on Saturday, February 11, 2006 at 2 p.m. at the Campbell River Baptist Church, 260 S. Dogwood, Campbell River. ISLAND FUNERAL SERVICES/ELK FALLS CREMATORIUM, 103-909 Island Highway, Campbell River entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society 1423B 16th Ave., Campbell River, BC V9W 2C4.
