David "Grant" Hanna€
August 25,1952 - October 10, 2017
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Grant, he went peacefully with family and friends close by.
He is predeceased by his mother Dorothy Hanna, and father Neill Hanna.
He is survived by his daughters, Alexandra Gillies (Brennan) and Danielle Hanna (Brett), his brother Mike Hanna (Barb, Connor, Ryan and Rachael), his sister Maggie Hanna (Brad), cousin Bruce Kendall (Sarah, Steven) his ex- wife Kim Creally and his keeper Susan (Ed).
Grant was born in Port Alberni and lived between Campbell River and Port Alberni.
Fishing was his life, his girls, Alexandra and Danielle, were his loves.
He worked many jobs in different sectors including, mining, fishing and forestry.
He found his passion guiding at Painter's Lodge where he spent 22 years of his life.
We will remember Grant as an epic fisherman, an amazing father, good friend, a gentle loving soul who would give you the shirt off his back.
